An Taisce, The National Trust for Ireland, was founded entirely for the benefit of the people: their hope is that people will in turn do their part. Founded in 1948 by Naturalist Robert Lloyd Praeger and is a prescribed body under planning law. The Environmental Education runs a wide range of national and international projects ranging from National Spring Clean, Irish Business against Litter, Blue Flags, Green Schools, Young Reporter on Environment, Clean Coast, Learning about Forests and Green Homes.
